Absorb the city sights on this exciting evening tour that showcases the best of Singapore after dark. Begin your tour as we head to the Marina Bay Sands observation deck, situated 650 feet above ground, to enjoy a different perspective of Singapore. Located 57 storeys up from the heart of the Marina Bay area, the Sands SkyPark Observation Deck boasts scenic views of the panoramic vistas of Marina Bay and Singapore’s world-class cityscape. Try and take a bird’s-eye view of Gardens by the Bay and the impressive Supertree Grove, or admire the sea view that stretches from Marina South Pier to the Singapore Strait.

This tour offers an interesting view of life outside the city, and starts with a visit to the Tiong Bahru Wet Market to see the locals buy their daily groceries and vegetables. Next, pass by the Kranji Dam area—once a swamp used as the first landing spot for Japanese Advance Boats during World War II. The Kranji War Memorial, unveiled in 1957, overlooks the Straits of Johore and is the final resting place for many of the Allied soldiers who lost their lives in World War II. It commemorates by name more than 20,000 men and women. After lunch, you’ll visit the Bright Hill Temple, a famous place of Chinese ancestral worship. The final loop of the tour will pass the Johore Battery, built by the British in 1939. Drive through Changi Village on the way back to the pier.

Visit the impressive Gardens by the Bay—a 250-acre park that is home to more than 250,000 rare plants housed in giant domed conservatories with several different regions to discover. Step into the Flower Dome and wonder at nature merged with spectacular, innovative design. This section replicates the cool-dry climate of Mediterranean regions and houses flora that thrive in these conditions. Wander through the gardens and discover all the marvels of nature and technology that make this award-winning attraction quite fascinating. Take time to visit the mysterious, mist-veiled Cloud Forest, where a 115-foot ‘mountain’ showcases the world’s tallest indoor waterfall and presents plant life from the tropical highlands (up to 6,500 feet above sea level). Next, you’ll head to the Marina Bay Sand’s observation deck, situated 650 feet above ground, to enjoy a different perspective of Singapore. Finally, enjoy a coach ride back to the cruise centre.

Next, gain insight into Singapore's history on a riverboat cruise. The Singapore River has seen 150 years of commercial activity and has been at the heart of the city's growth from an obscure fishing village to a great seaport and metropolis. A 30-minute ride on a low-slung riverboat enables you to appreciate this transformation. Today, the Singapore River is still buzzing with life and activity, but the waterfront now plays host to a colorful kaleidoscope of restaurants, wine bars, entertainment spots and retail stores. You'll also catch a glimpse, from a distance, of the famous Merlion fountain and Marina Bay Sands Hotel (weather conditions permitting).

The Night Safari is the world's first wildlife park purpose-built to be viewed at night. It is not an ordinary zoo simply illuminated by night or a modern version of nocturnal houses found in many zoos. Set in 98 acres of dense secondary forest, the Night Safari offers visitors the rather fascinating experience of observing wildlife in a tropical jungle at night.

Leaving the ship by coach, you'll begin a very relaxing panoramic tour of this tiny, but lovely, country. Singapore is an economic and social stronghold in the Pacific Rim, and as you set out to explore, you will see the Business District that is responsible for the nation's fiscal security.

This day tour to Aquila Game Reserve will take you to the semi-scrub desert of the Karoo for an encounter with Africa's wild game. This 2½-hour transfer by air-conditioned coach meanders through the scenic Hex River Valley to Cape Town's closest private game reserve at Aquila.

Depart from the pier and travel up Kloof Nek. This is the saddle between Table Mountain and Lions Head. From the Lower Cableway Station (1,190 feet) ascend to the Mountain Station (3,500 feet asl) in a Swiss-engineered Rotair cable car. The journey from the base to the summit takes just under four minutes. Enjoy spectacular views, as the floor of the car rotates 360 degrees during the ascent and descent.

Depart from the pier and follow one of South Africa's most scenic routes to Cape Point, traveling through the seaside suburbs of Sea Point, Bantry Bay and Clifton, via the lovely Chapmans Peak Drive. Enjoy some of the Cape's most magnificent views and continue through the quaint seaside residential suburb of Scarborough en route to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. The nature reserve is comprised of 19,000 acres of indigenous flora and fauna. This is where two oceans and two marine ecosystems meet. With its dramatic sea cliffs -- among the tallest in South Africa -- Cape Point is the main attraction in the reserve. Ride the funicular to the top of the point, from where you can enjoy the breathtaking views (funicular operates wind and weather conditions permitting).

In order to fully appreciate present conditions in South Africa, thoughtful travelers interested in social matters can use this excursion to gain new insights. It examines the complex injustices and struggles that constitute South Africa's history. It also offers an enlightening view of how South Africans are moving forward in the 21st century.

You'll stop at Maiden's Cove to enjoy the magnificent views over Camps Bay Beach and the Twelve Apostles. Continue along the coastal road, past the upmarket suburb of Llandudno and on towards the fishing village of Hout Bay.

Sri Lanka is home to many forms of art. Today you will break with tradition and sneak a peek at the very topical contemporary art scene, which came into its own in the early 1900s. The country's colorful and turbulent past is often portrayed through the emotive forms of sculpture, painting and even the performance arts.

Like many capital cities in developing countries, Colombo is changing rapidly. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arose from where old buildings once stood; yet, in some parts of the city, the old-world charm of yesteryear is still readily apparent.

Traveling by coach, you'll see the 100-year-old clock tower and several British-built colonial buildings. Other places of interest are the Pettah Bazaar, Hindu and Buddhist temples, residential areas that accommodate the stately homes of the affluent, and the Colombo Museum, where you'll have 45 minutes to explore the exhibits.

Meet Mohara Dol -- a remarkable woman who has stood at the forefront of Sri Lanka's food industry for 30 years. Today you will join her in cooking up a delightful array of traditional Malay/Sri Lankan dishes -- a brilliant way to spend a morning in Colombo while becoming acquainted with the culinary flavors of the area. Mohara welcomes you into her home, where you'll join her at the cooktop. Drawing inspiration from her Malay heritage and the rich traditions of her Sinhalese and Tamil friends and neighbors, she has devised a repertoire of rice, curry, sambol and salad dishes that are distinct in taste, aroma, color and flavor. You'll watch a demonstration on the terrace, during which she shows you how to prepare a range of delicious Sri Lankan dishes. Her no-fuss approach means that the art of curry-making is made simple and is easy to replicate at home.

Board the train for your journey to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. Established in 1975, the facility began with seven orphaned elephants. Today, some of these original orphans enjoy seeing their grandchildren born in the same location. The original objective of establishing the orphanage was inclined more towards attracting tourism, but it soon became a conservation and educational center. With the help of local and foreign elephant experts, Pinnawela started a scientific captive-breeding program for elephants. Freedom of movement for the herd increased the chances for individuals of both genders to get together and mate, and in 1984, the first Pinnawela baby was born. The success story of Pinnawela has drawn the attention of scientists from all over the world. A considerable number of books and research articles on Pinnawela have been published in several languages. The members of the Pinnawela herd have been filmed, videoed and photographed thousands of times by professionals.

Start your tour with a coach ride to St Paul, where the first inhabitants of Réunion settled in 1646. You'll follow the west (leeward) coast road, which is fringed with a long ribbon of beaches -- some with white sand and some with black sand.

Lava rocks, sandy beaches and upland valleys are the scenic delights of Réunion's wild south.

Drive from the pier to a local vanilla plantation by way of Réunion's northern coast, hugging the shoreline as you go. You'll pass through island's capital, St Denis, as well as the towns of Ste Marie and Ste Suzanne.

Drive south from the pier, traveling by motorcoach to St Paul via the scenic route along the west coast.

Depart from the pier and cross the Swartkops River, turning inland to the flat topography of the Sunday River valley. It is a 48-mile drive to Addo Elephant Park, which covers nearly half a million acres of bush country, and is home to approximately 450 Addo elephants. Amazingly, this population has bred from the few elephants that remained in the area after the herd was almost wiped out in the 1920s. Although it belongs to the same species as the African elephant (Loxodonta africana), the reddish Addo elephant is smaller with more rounded ears, and the females generally have no tusks. On a two-hour game drive, you will hopefully encounter this endemic animal, as well as various species of antelope. Also noteworthy is the flightless dung-beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo. Head back to Port Elizabeth where the tour ends at the ship.

The Lodge, located in the private Amakhala Game Reserve, offers an undisturbed retreat where you can regenerate your soul and tune into the sounds of nature. The view from the safari suites and lounge area is of the waterhole where monkeys come to play and antelope and zebra to quench their thirst.

Relax and enjoy the drive to Kwantu Private Game Reserve & Predator Education & Rehabilitation Center. Here a fascinating blend of nature and history awaits you. This untouched wilderness boasts a past as rich as its abundant wildlife population. On arrival at the village of Sidbury, located within the reserve, game rangers will collect and transport you to the main reception area for refreshments. Sidbury was established in 1820 and has the second-oldest Anglican Church in South Africa. Set out on a three-hour game drive in an open vehicle, accompanied by professional game rangers. Game on the property includes zebra, buffalo, giraffe, hippos, rhinos, elephants and a variety of antelope. Lions are currently accommodated in an enclosed boma area. Also visit the new Predator Education & Rehabilitation Center, which is home to cheetah, wild dogs, Bengal tigers and civet cats. Enjoy a magnificent buffet lunch as you are entertained by a troop of Xhosa dancers and singers. Drive back to Port Elizabeth in the late afternoon.

Tour Port Elizabeth, the third-largest port and fifth-largest city in South Africa. Leaving the harbor, you will pass a memorial to the first British settlers who arrived here in 1820. It is situated on the site where the settlers landed and contains a carillon of 23 bells.

Drive to Curepipe, a small residential town situated on the central plateau of Mauritius at an altitude of about 2,000 feet above sea level. For a scenic diversion, you’ll stop at the Trou aux Cerfs—an extinct crater offering a panoramic view of the town of Curepipe and of the surrounding mountains. The village of Triolet is home to Mauritius’ largest Hindu temple built in 1819 in honor of the gods Shiva, Krishna, Vishnu, Muruga, Brahma and Ganesh. You will also visit Labourdonnais village. The Château de Labourdonnais was built in 1858 and, soon afterwards, a tropical orchard was planted on the grounds of the estate. A few centenary mango trees are still alive and well here. A sugar factory was also built in the village, and sugar production remained the estate’s primary economic activity. When the factory was demolished in 1960, a major agricultural diversification program took place with the creation of a modern 120-acre orchard, planted with a wide variety of tasty tropical fruits such as mangos, lychees, pineapples, guavas, bananas, passionfruit, kumquat, grapefruit and other citrus.
