Discover the history of Baie-Comeau -- the quintessential company town. Meet your guide at the pier and begin your walk to the heart of the town. From there you will set out on a three-hour walking tour with your guide, highlighting the heritage area, boutiques, art galleries, landmarks and, of course, Baie-Comeau's beautiful natural setting.

Experience an event that took place 20,000 years ago, right here in the heart of the UNESCO Manicouagan-Uapishka World Biosphere Reserve -- the Garden of the Glaciers. This immersive, interactive and multi-sensory experience offers visitors an encounter with the last Ice Age climate change, and the migration of the first people to ever set foot in North America. The Glacier Exploration Station is set up around a multimedia show that is divided into three acts composed of spectacular visual projections. It will take you two miles underneath the glacier with stunning sound effects.

The Garden of Glaciers show offers visitors an incredible "encounter" with the last glacial period. You will learn about the First Nations, discover present-day glaciers, and witness the effects of climate change as the Glacier Exploration Center takes you on a journey through the links between the glaciers, climate change, and the migration of the first inhabitants of North America. It is a world-class 3D show and a geological experience that allows you to explore a glacier from top to bottom and even gives you a glimpse of the old seas that lie beneath. The goal is to inspire you to see yourself from a new perspective; to immortalize the past and tell a fascinating story that also sheds light on the future. This multifaceted mission transforms a mere visit into a fascinating multi-sensory experience.

With six miles of trails, the nature park of Pointe-aux-Outardes offers many great beauties to explore. The park's mission is to protect and showcase wildlife, its rich -- yet fragile -- ecosystems, many birds of prey, and shore, forest and sea birds.

Visit the amazing Manic-2 hollow-joint gravity dam. It is roughly the size of a Boeing 747, and is the first of its kind to be put into service at the Manic-Outardes complex. In 1965, Hydro-Québec operated the first 735,000-volt line in the world. This line has now become the international standard for high-voltage transmission. The line is linked to a generating station powerful enough to supply electricity to a city of 250,000 people. Tour the Georges-Dor Pavilion, which holds a turbine, an exhibit hall, and a multimedia room that explains the construction and operation of the dam.

On this tour you will visit two of America's national treasures -- the John F. Kennedy Library (perhaps the nation's most popular presidential library) and Peacefield, home and library of John Adams and John Quincy Adams.

Here, you will see for yourself the impressive rock formations and coastal beauty of this rustic, working fishing village. At the lighthouse -- perhaps the most-photographed building in Canada -- take spectacular photos of the building against the surrounding rock. See Halifax’s charming architecture and tree-lined streets -- remnants of its fascinating 269-year history -- as your guide tells of the pirates and princes, press gangs and brewers who have helped shape the city.

Located 500 miles from Quebec City, the port town of Havre St Pierre is home to just 3,500 souls. It was founded in 1857 by six fishing families from Iles-de-la-Madeleine. Originally known as Pointe-aux-Esquimaux (Eskimo Point), the town was renamed Havre-Saint-Pierre after the patron saint of fishermen in 1927. The local residents refer themselves as Cayens, and are very proud of their Acadian heritage. For many years fishing, hunting and lumber were the main industries of the village but, today, mining surpasses them all.

A scenic cruise -- an experience in itself -- takes you to Ile Niapiskau. You're accompanied by a Parks Canada heritage presenter, who will lead you back in time to help you understand the amazing geological formations around you. It's a story that is nearly 500 million years old.

Join a professional biologist on a tour of the Mingan Research Center. This is ground zero for marine biologists dedicated to the study of right whales (black whales). Learn about the sand dunes (or are they marine terraces?), and which species can be regularly observed in the park. Nowadays in Saguenay, Guiseppe Benedetto, glass-maker and sculptor, performs this highly sophisticated technique for visitors to his workshop. The glass-maker's goal is to develop top-of-the-line decorative objects such as whales, blueberries, fruits, lamps, perfumers, and more. His creations integrate his art with architecture. Limited-series sculptures incorporate granite, glass, aluminum, bronze, or steel -- contrasts in strength and fragility.
