(Some people are born with all the right moves, but the rest of us need a little instruction to smooth the sharp edges off of ours. That’s why you’ll find a host of free dance classes that sail along with you!)

The little ones can enjoy the best parts of summer camp, year-round aboard their Carnival cruise. At Camp Ocean kids will have a blast in supervised, age-based groups and give each a cool marine-life label: Penguins (2 to 5 years), Stingrays (6 to 8 years) and Sharks (9 to 11 years). Together with their group they’ll enjoy tons of fun-filled, age-appropriate activities like arts and crafts, songs, games, toys, dancing, movies and video games. When it’s mealtime, kids eat together and get their own menus with back-on-land faves like mac & cheese, chicken nuggets and more. The whole time, our experienced counselors will be there to make sure everyone in these small groups has an amazing time. Plus, when the sun goes down it’s Night Owls time — fees apply, but kids get to stay up late having fun while their parents also enjoy themselves well into the night.

Cruises are great for relaxing… unless you’re a kid! Since kids have virtually unlimited energy — and you know they definitely bring it with them on vacation — your Carnival cruise will get your kids moving and developing with Zumbini®, created by Zumba® & BabyFirst™. On every sailing, kids 2–5 years old will enjoy a free 30-minute Zumbini class that brings together the same musical fun that families love on land. The class features Zumbini songs, activities, special instruments and more, all in the name of movement. And on sailings six days or longer, we’ll be hosting a Family Zumbini class where parents can join their kids and our youth staff for guided activities focusing on parent-child bonding… and, of course, fun!

Your parents deserve a nice vacation… but then again, so do you. So let’s let them go do their thing while you do yours. Where to? Club O2®. Hang out doing stuff like watching movies, listening to music from this decade, playing sports and video games, joining karaoke jam sessions… maybe even attending Carnival’s version of prom, all with other high schoolers ages 15 to 17.

When kids visit the Build-A-Bear Workshop At Sea® , they use their little hands and big creativity to bring a new stuffed friend to life. They can customize their furry friend from head to toe by choosing the bear, clothing and accessories. The cuddly bears are actually just the beginning — these stuffed friends come in all shapes, like a dog, bunny, shark, The Cat in the Hat… even a bear with a special Carnival-exclusive design! Build-A-Bear Workshop at Sea

To kids, arts and crafts is a fun way to spend an afternoon. Camp Ocean® presents plenty of creative opportunities for budding Picassos to master Monets, and kids can express themselves with all kinds of crafts from painting to jewelry-making. You know, future living-room-museum pieces.

They may be made out of flat towels, but there’s nothing two-dimensional about the performances at Towel Animal Theater on your Carnival cruise. They’re rolled, folded and brought to life by the same masters of the craft that leave the cute little guys nightly in your stateroom… except these especially-absorbent stars get on stage and put on a show for adoring fans, young and old. Take this incredible excursion and witness the wonders of the Panama Canal. Your adventure begins with a 1  hour bus ride along the Transismic Highway through the city of Colon to the Pacific Coast where you will board a ferry that will transport you through part of the Panama Canal. Culture, History and Ecology are the focus of this tour. Your guides are considered experts in their fields and have been specifically chosen for this tour. Prior to the construction of the Panama Canal, the jungle area that is now the Gatun Lake had an abundance of wildlife. As the region was flooded to create the lake, animals took refuge in the mountain peaks, which are now the many islands that dot the renowned lake. You and your guide will slowly cruise the back channels and bays that make up this unique ecosystem. Glide past lush rainforests to a secluded region of the lake and witness first-hand the splendor and excitement of the jungle. Exotic birds, monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and crocodiles are just a few of the animals that you can view in their native surroundings. During the building of the Canal by the United States, the plan arose to create a lake making the construction easier because lifting up the water level excavations did not have to be that profound. A large earthen wall was built in the Chagres River and several villages were flooded when the water rose to form the Gatun Lake. Already in these early days, the awareness existed of the importance of ecology in the Panama Canal, because it depends largely on rainwater for its operation. Therefore the watershed of the Panama Canal has always been well protected. This adventure starts with boarding your air-conditioned coach and transferring to the Melia Resort. This is a great tour for adventurous passengers.  Nature is the most common sight in the area where wildlife is abundant. The tour will include a Kayak ride around Gatun Lake, and a visit to Gatun Locks where you can see the operation of the Panama Canal.
