A highlight of your tour is a visit to the Bicentennial Conservatory at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. The conservatory is located in the tropical rain forest section of the garden and is awash with waterfalls and rock pools. It was built to celebrate Australia's bicentenary (1988) and is the largest single-span conservatory in the Southern Hemisphere, housing a display of lowland tropical rain forest plants from Northern Australia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and the nearby Pacific Islands. Many of these plants are at risk or are endangered in their natural habitats. Visit the Palm House, established in 1875 -- the pre-cursor to the conservatory. It was fully restored in 1992 and is believed to be the only one still in existence today.

Adelaide is a city of wide, leafy streets and elegant architecture, offering the visitor a myriad of opportunities to relax, indulge, discover and enjoy. This half-day tour captures the key highlights that make Adelaide a truly charming city.

Cleland Wildlife Park is situated in the rolling hills of Adelaide's Mount Lofty Ranges. The park is where people and animals meet and is home to a large collection of native Australian animals and birds. Set in 172 acres of picturesque bushland, it is where kangaroos, wallabies and emus run free.

Winding roads lead past orchards and vineyards to pretty township of Hahndorf nestled in the foothills. Founded by German Lutherans in 1839 it is Australia's oldest surviving German settlement. The main street is shaded by century-old elm trees and features old-fashioned cottages, plenty of souvenir shops, craft outlets and galleries. There is still a strong German flavor in Hahndorf, most apparent in the bakeries that line the bustling main street. Several boutique cellar doors have recently opened in the main street, and trendy eateries serve the freshest and best local produce.
